I have a V10 PS2 with a Magic V 5K6 or whatever it is. It is currently using the Eject button to trigger the modchip modes:
Press Reset - PS2 mode
Press Eject - PS2 Mode
Hold Eject (until Blue LED) - PS1 Mode
Hold Eject (6+seconds) - Disabled
Now to do the MC exploit I need to boot a PS1 game, so I hold down eject for 2-3 seconds and then push again to put it back in. Now I do this a lot and I'm starting to worry that it will eventually have a bad affect on my drive assembly. Is there a way I could move the "RST" or "Z" point to a different solder point to make it use the Reset button instead of the Eject button? Or is that programmed into the chip?
