CDR problem with V9 PAL and M2 1.31
CDR problem with V9 PAL and M2 1.31 –
10-01-2003,12:56 PM
Hi,
I installed a brand new Messiah 2 1.31 (normal PCB just like the old one) on a Pal black SCPH 50004 console
Everything boots fine except all the CDR ! the CDR are booting, you see directly the playstation 2 logo, after that the loading stop and the lens starting to make funny noises (like a CDR is not perfectly read on old console for example)
So I don't know where does this problem come from ! I installed about 70 M2 without a problem like that , I suppose maybe it's the CD/DVD part of the points (A-I) that could be faulty, or maybe it's the clock ?
Please help I already checked all my points 3 times
Thanks
bye

Check and double check all your points, bios and cd/dvd points, make sure they are all connected fine, and that there are no shorts anywhere.
Try other media or other games, I have found that the V9 units are a little more picky when it comes to CDR games, and I dont think it has much to do with the M2 1.31
I dont think the clock is a problem because then nothing would work if it wasnt connected.

also be aware that the V9 uses eject button holds not reset button holds to boot CDR PS1 games... unless I am wrong...
make sure you have followed the latest available tutes...
