  1. #1 CD Clicks after Magic 2 installation on V7

    I installed a Magic2 chip on a V7 PS2 (SCPH9001/N) - after installation, the PS2 loads PS1 backups and org dvd films not but PS2 backups .
In both cases, the cd makes a strange sound (click click) - Does anyone know what cause this problem ?

    Thanks

... I forgot to mention that for all PS2 backups I get the Red screen of death: "Insert a PS2 cd.."

Check the cd/dvd controller points on the bottom of the board.

I searched all threads but nothing seemed like the problem I have.
I replaced the board with a working one and the problem still exist - so I guess it has something to do with the CD/DVD part.
When I test it, Backup CDs (PS2+PS1) work fine (but only the ones that were burnt on Verbatim datalife CDs) . Original cds don't work.
    Any Idea anyone?

Sound like it could still be an install problem. But is you are 100% confident in your install then try a different brand of DVD-R mine clicks if i use memorex disks, also my console has a real hard time with some DVD-R's. Try some expirimenting.
