I was reassembling my ps2 and as i was going to put the ribbon cable into the little snap port on the bottom of the controller board, i snapped the little locking part off, does anyone know an easy way to fix this? other than buying a new board. I still have the little peice that locks in, but it wont because the sides are gone

time to time I had that problem, so I cut a little piece of plastic of same size of the ribbon cable and put it together in the port, the piece of plastic have to let you put both together but making a little force to do it, so that way every pin made contact,
I'm so sorry about my english, so I know that I'm not very clear, but is all I can do.
Best Regards.
