can play psx backup, not ps2 backup?

Hi, I have this problem after I got my console. DVD/PSX backup/PS2 originals are just fine, but I cant get it to play ps2backup. I think the chip is magic 3.1.
I followed the boot sequence, I think, just one tap, right?
PSX boot needs to hold, it can work. just I couldnot get ps2 backup to work, there's a disc coming with it, I guess the installer tested it with it, but neither it or any CDR backup I downloaded and burned can work. please help or give me some advice.

I saw one article from google saying and he needs to tap it 3 times to make it work, it sounds weird, anybody has similar experience?

maybe the installer didn't install it correctly

yeah, I think it's possible, they claimed that it worked. there's even a CDR ps2 backup in the console, PSX backup works means at least some wires are okay. I guess it's possible some wires got loose or they didnot do it right.
I found a few people complaining about this probelm with ps2 backup CDR as pink/red screen....
