can Pal 30003-R Magic 2 play DVD-R Getway in Progressive Scan mode?

I tried to turn on my Progressive Scan feature for my HDTV and it just can't work. Please help! thanks in advance.

Did you use the component cable ?
If yes and you have a rgb fix on your PS2 maybe this features disable component output.

Yes I am using component cables. I have also followed the instructions to use a/v cables first, go to system controls and change the color settings to Y-Pb/Pr, Cb/Cr, then turning off my PS2 and change the a/v cable to component cables.
