Hi all im real new to ps2 im going to get one. Are the new flat ones modable or will have to get chunky one instead if i wish to mod. Thanks :)
syntax so far one mod chip came out on market allready for the new slim PS2.. Allthou many are sayin that chips are a pain to install..
I would get an older one so you can upgrade and install a HDD in there.. Sents the new slim PS2 does NOT support any HDD's...
Welcome to the scene,
Scooter
I seen various things about putting harddrives in is there a tutorial for this.
what chip or bios surports harddrives.
Do you have to switch your mod off to play online like you do with xbox live.
Syntax its very simple to install a hard drive into an older PS2.. As im sure you know there is a expansion bay located in the back of the old PS2 and come off.. All you need is the network adapter and a HDD that is able to fit into the expansion bay...
I would sujest a Maxtor hard drive.. The fit perfect...
As for witch chip to choose from..Well Ill get back to you on that..
but yes your goin to need to turn the mod off in order to play the game online sents the server checks for DNAS.. Allthou some older PS2 games dont use DNAS (Twisted Metal Black online, ATV offroad furry 2--just to name a few)...
alot of these questions ce be answered through the search button. Please use it
