Can messiah2 be switched off...........

After it has booted.

Eg:
1)Boot up gameshark 3, 2)turn off messiah 2, 3)Use gameshark 3 dvd region player?!!?

Or eg: 1)boot up mediaplayer, 2)turn off messiah 2, 3)play your divx movie) (i know it will play with chip on but this is for an experiment)

Maybe a switch or a 508 or someth9ing that can turn it off after it has booted a game?!?!

You can use the same code for "magic3 add-on fix", the problem with it is will turn off M2 in 1, 2 or 3 minutes. You don't have a "better choice", and this is why I opened that thread on homebrew area.

To view multi-region dvd with M2, you can use a copy of DVD-Free from Blaze or Gameshark3 from Madcatz, I tested with a V4 and V7 console and works fine. They work with M2 in PS2 mode . I have problems only with V5, don´t know why.

Well, I think it can be done because to test if a chip is bad or not, I remove the 3.3V line and leave all the other lines wired on and the PS2 boots up just fine. So if you put a toggle that opens the 3.3V line after the chip has booted, it should work.

I'm using GS3 (copy) with M2 PRO v1.22 on v7 U/C and do not work at all.

After "DVD Video. Please Wait. Checking Disk."

I got "This isn't a DVD Video disc..." and blah, blah, blah.

Sometimes I can get browser screen, but it see my DVD-Video as PlayStation 2 disc. I always get this one.

With V7 the DVD Region Free from blaze works for sure
To V4 both apps works, the GS3 pop-up this error message, but works. Now I see you are from BRz, hahaha
You can use dvd-key from vtec too.

I see the problem now. When the PS2 does the disc check, if the chip is on and it detects a DVD media, it automatically thinks it's a game disc!!

Is someone going to try the toggle switch?
