  1. #1 Question can anyone tell what modchip this is?
    miko1010 Guest
HI there, I was given a modchip from a friend that came back from hong kong.

i have no idea what chip it is and i'm really hesitant about using the chip.

    it came with install diagrams from models (37000, 39001, 39002, 39002, 39004, and 39006)

here's a pic of the chip.

if anyone knows what chip this is please help.
I can also post the install diagrams if that'll help...

Nope. It's a Messiah Accessor. One of the worst chips I have evr seen... There are SEVERAL games that do not work with it.

umm.. any idea on the functionality of the chip?

    like...is it fully direct boot.
or you gotta hold down some buttons to go to psx mode or stuff like that?

    thanks again.

like i said in my first post, similar to the magic 3. Ps2 games boot with a tap of the reset button, they do not boot from browser. Dvd movies and psx games are booted by holding the reset button until the blue eject light comes on.

Chip disable function does not exist. If I remember correctly it uses a stolen (and unfinished) Messiah code which is the answer why it does not work with several games, though it boots them fine but there are RSOD's after some mins/secs. No, actually when there are several WORKING chips for a cheap price, it is not worth keeping it, exceot yoy canb live with it limitations... (games that do not work *tested* Unreal, Age of empire, True Crime, Champions of norrath, SWAT, S. Cell. There are others that we did not tested but heard about)

    regards, Stephen

by the way full direct boot does not mean you do not have to play with controller buttons/reset as direct boot means you do not need a boot disk *example Action Replay, RegionX, etc) + an extra (or two) swap(s) to boot backups.

wow. thanks for all the info.
I think I'll fork out some money and get the matrix infinity

or if there a cheaper alternative that's still direct boot capable and less than 55 bux of matrix infinity?

Duo 2 SE. It doesn't do your homework or wash your dishes but it does direct boot everything. It's cheap too. Homersimpson sells em for $20 shipped I believe or was it $18 shipped? Go talk to him.
