Hi, my ps2 is one of the first run models so yes its old but in great condition.
It only play audio and psone CDs. Wont read any ps2 or DVD (i dont use it as a DVD player) disks.
Well ive been reading around and like the idea of putting your games on the HDD for easy and faster load playing. Plus ide like to play my imported PSX games cus the psx swapping thing is annoying. I like the emu on ps2 idea too.
Been looking around and found this place with the exact setup i want:
http://www.gameworlddirect.co.uk/cat...oducts_id=2794
Satin Silver PS2 Limited edition
DMS4 Pro Modchip (the newest one i guess)
250gig 7200 8mb HDD
Hard Disk Utility (i guess to put/install your fav ps2 game on the hdd)
AC power adapter (im in the USA)
has few other things like Toxic OS and Application Disc (dunnow what this is for).
UK site and in US dollat its $835.81
Great setup ide love to own, just would like to hear for any advice, opinions or reccomendations about this site, the ps2 bundle, price, ect ect anything.
I like this offer but want to make a wise choise.

Itd be cheaper for you to just use your ps2 (instead of buying a new one) and buy an NA and HDD (maxtor preferably). Then all youd need is to get hdloader to your mem card. Why spend so much money when you can do it cheaper around $100ish depending on hdd size.

Thats a good idea but my ps2 wont read any PS2 or DVD disks (only will read psx and audio cds) so getting a HDD and NA wont do me no good if i cant install the games.
So its either get my laser fixed (ship it out) or buy a new one.
Also, ide like one modded for emus and imports and may possibly install a few PSX games on the HDD if possible.
BTW, i have a NA and gdd to play ffxi.
Just like to HDD some games that are heavy on the laser like the GTA games.

If its a bad laser Loy is good at fixing them, I shipped my ps2 to him he fixed my laser and installed an MI at the same time. Now my ps2 always reads disks.

Am I wrong in thinking that with an NA and hdd you cant hook it up to the computer and install that way? Cant hdloader be installed from pc to mc? Maybe im getting all this info mixed up.

hey im not sure if you can adjust the laser on a v1.. but my friend had that same problem on his v4 . it would play audio and psx games only, i had to turn the little white knob to set the laser...i wont go into detail but if you wana try it google it, youll find tons of guides
