    I'm getting a new PS2 tommorow.

Electronic's Boutique has a package where you can get:

    Playstation 2, controller, cables, etc.
    ATV Offroad Fury 2
    Network Adapater

    Price -- $199.99

Is it worth it? I'm going to be using ONLY backup DVD-R games, so until the DNAS is fully cracked, the network adapter is useless to me....

...or can you do other functions with the network adapter?

Do you think this package is a waste and I should just buy a normal new PS2 for $179.99?

its worth the extra $20 for a game and a NA, if u wont play online u could atleast transfer saves to/from pc to memcard or stream homebrew apps.

Wait, is this true? Coz I've always wanted to do this, do you need additional hardware other than the network adaptor? Well besides cables I guess.

Thanks Bgnome but just to clarify, you still need the network adaptor right? Thanks again.

Wait Wait Wait, I thought you needed an X-Port! Please tell me there is a way to get SNES-Station on my memory card with just the network adapter.

in order to use pukklink or similar homebrew apps, you still need to be able to boot a cd-r..

Sir Leonheart, why don't you get a direct-boot modchip? If you don't mind me asking.
