Broken PS2. Help pls?

My ps2 is V2 NTSC. It all started that I was trying to fix my usb port that suddenly didn't work. I opened the ps2 up in order to attempt to see if there was anything loose, but the usb port is hard to access, so I gave up. I started to put things together, but the ps2 was acting weird. It would sometimes not load up, meaning nothing would show up on the screen, the eject light didn't light up, and sometimes it would. It would seem more succesful if I kept it vertical. The day after I tried running it, and it doesn't event work at at all. Both lights goes on, but there is no signal to the TV, just blank. Does anyone have any ideas? Is my ps2 FUBAR (F**ked Up Beyond Any Recognition)? TIA.

In the hope that it's just cables not properly seated or twisted and ripped or even caught in screws and thus shorting, then your PS2 is not FUBAR.

Sounds like a pinched eject/reset ribbon cable to me.
