    Hi,

After letting my friend install a switch on my magic 3.5 all games were working fine. But after a while I noticed that it the ps2 went standby for some reason, so I checked if something was wrong with my ps2 and I noticed that the fan wasn't working. So I took my ps2 apart again and I saw that I accidently broke one the fan wires. I tried joining them back together but this didn't work. I wanted to take the fan off the board but I accidently broke the connector of the fan

So my question is: can I replace it with a normal pc case fan or is it still possible to use the broken fan?

should be able to still use the fan but it's tough w/o a connector you'll have to solder it onto the board....i'm actually checking my junk drawer to see if i have any extra fans, what version ps2 is it?

I just bought a new fan + power switch assembly at ebay for $9, hope it'll work and get it soon.

    edit:
could it be that the fuse somehow blew when I booted my ps2 up while one of the fan wires was crushed?
