Broke PS2,Motherboard needed

First of all a warning for all the newbies on this forum: Don't solder you're No-Swap Mod-chips yourself!!!. A good friend of mine once installled a neo 2.2 in my ps2, and that went great. I decided to buy a new Magic3,and let him do the install. The first 16 wires went great, but when he tried to solder the wires close to the motherboard, some liquid metal fell on the motherboard!!! He tried to suck the metal away, but it was to late; My ps2 is dead :cry: I there anyway to fix my ps2. check the attaced file to see a foto of the damage. Please help me

PS: if it not possible to make it, does anyone knows a place where they sell motherboards????

i wouldnt say its major damage by the looks of thing's but i would advise you to get it to a pro the second leg has bent and is shorting out if the track under this leg is damged i it could be salvaged but only by a pro.

so it is possible to fix the machine, but it have to be done by a pro
what kind of equipment do you need to fix this???

desoldering braid a steady hand and the knowledge to fix whats wrong ie track ripped up and straightening the bent leg without snapping it all together if this happens you would need to shave down the ic package to get access to the broken pin to reconnect it to the ps2 mother board.

Thats what you call broken? na na na. Thats not even anything to worry about, go get desoldering braid like her said, but iton the pins, heat up the braid, and it will soak it all up, no worries.

thanks necrolop(and all others) for the reply. I thought my ps2 was lost. now i can sleep peacefully again :)
(keep sending those suggestions, i'm gonna print thid thread out for my installer/handyman

nec just gave you real bad advice the bent pin leg is major damage if this pin is weak the slightest movement will snap it and all wil be lost leave it to a pro if your handyman made this mess he should not be fixing it also he most probably moved the trace below the bent pin breaking the trace im sure alot of the pro installer's who visit this forum would agree its major damage and should not be taken lightly.
