Booting Instructions for most Mod Chips

NEO 2/2.2 With AR2 v1.7 or v1.9
1) Turn on the PS2 with AR2 (holding down the On/Reset button)

2) Select Start Game (Still holding down)

3) Press the Eject button (whilst still holding the On/Reset button) and swap AR2 1.7 with DVD original

4) Press the Eject button to close (Wait 10 seconds)

5) Select WITHOUT CODES and wait until disc stops

6) Now let go of the Reset button and the tray comes out.

7) Swap the DVD original for a backup DVDR.

8) Press 'X' just as the tray starts to go back in (IMPORTANT)

NEO 2/2.2 With Action Replay 2 v2.x
1) Load AR2 V2 keeping the Reset button pressed

2) Select Action Replay Codes

3) Highlight Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX2 Code

4) Press START

5) Press the Eject button and insert Original-TOC-DVD

6) Wait 10 Seconds

7) Now press 'X' on with Codes and 'X' once again

8) Error message appears: 'Too many Codes'

9) The Original TOC DVD stops spinning

10) Now release the Reset button & insert DVDR Backup

11) Press 'X' to confirm the error message

12) Now press Circle twice to enter Main menu again

13) Start game - without codes - press 'X'

14) Codes are getting actualised

15) DVDR boots

No Solder Chip with ALL AR2 models
1) Load AR2

2) Create a New Game Called '.VD BACKUP:.' (so it goes to the top of the list)

3) Create a Code caled '(DVD-R)' - Leave it blank (no code data)

4) Reset Console

5) Every time you want to play a copy, change the status of this code (from on to off and vice-versa)

6) Insert original DVD, go to start game - with codes.

7) When you press X, you'll notice that the screen says 'updating code list, please wait' and the disc stops spinning. Swap with copy HERE, AS SOON as you here the disc stop spinning. The game will boot after about 2 seconds.

NEO 2.5 with AR2 v1.7 or v1.9
1) Load PS2 with AR2.

2) Press Reset to get back the tray. The PS2 will then go to Standby mode - Reset light comes on red.

3) Press and holding the Reset button until the PS2 goes into PS2 DVD Backup Mode, then release Reset button.

4) For a while, the AR2 Main Menu will be existed on monitor, and that the tray will comes out automatically.

5) Next swap PS2 DVD Originals in place of AR2, the tray will go back automatically.

6) At that time, Reset button light will become on red, meantime, the joypad operation will be interrupted for about for 5 sec. after then, the Reset button will be flashing in green color.

7) Press Start Game - Without Codes. The tray will move out automatically again.

8) Further swap PS2 DVD Backups in place of PS2 Originals after that the tray will move back again automatically.

9) Press 'X' button of joypad to get start the operation of the backups by then.

1) Turn on the PS2 with no disc

2) Press X to go into the browser screen

3) Press eject and put in your original DVD game (Big TOC)

4) Press eject again and hold till gold disc comes on screen

5 Let go and tray will eject slowly- swap with your DVDR backup

6 Press X and play - it's that simple

Magic 3 Booting Instructions

To boot PS2 Games:
Open CD Tray
Insert PS2 game
Press "Reset" once quickly
CD Tray will close and the game will boot up

To boot PS1 Games and DVD Movies:
Put the PS2 into stand by mode (By pressing and holding the reset button)
Turn on the PS2 by pressing and holding the reset button, until the blue CD eject light comes on
Open the CD tray (eject)
Insert the PS1 game and close the tray
PS1 game will now boot up

Messiah 2 Booting Instructions

To boot PS2 Games: (PS2 Mode)
Open CD Tray
Insert PS2 game
Close CD tray

To boot PS1 Games and DVD Movies: (PS1/DVD Mode)
Put the PS2 into stand-by mode (By pressing and holding the reset button)
Turn on the PS2 by pressing and holding the reset button, until the blue CD eject light comes on
Open the CD tray (eject)
Insert the PS1 game and close the tray
PS1/DVD game will now boot up

To Disable Chip:
Put the PS2 into stand by mode (By pressing and holding the reset button)
Turn on the PS2 by pressing and holding the reset button for 8 secs
Chip is Disabled

The PS2 Will remain the the selected mode until the next power cycle.
