I have a 10000 model modded with an origa 1.25. I have been trying to boot CDR with a PAL AR2 v1.3 but after I change discs at the prompt and then press X, the console just freezes and it wont even open the disc tray until I press the reset button.
Can anyone help ?
That sounds like an AR2 compatibility issue. DVD-Rs won't boot with that version. It should be 1.7 or later in my view. Or DVD Region X or Memory manager 16.
Are you sure, because I used to use this same version with my NEO 2 modded PAL console and it did CDR without any problems

Origa Modded Units can because they load them just like they would any other Import original.
I have got a JAP DVDX, but I cant get that to work because I dont have a memory card with the DVD drivers on, so it wont load past the dongle screen
Just out of interest, does the Memory Manager Plus CD which comes with the 8MB card work ?

As soon as I just finished reading your post I got a US copy of the Mega Memory through the mail, and it has just booted a copy of GT3 first time
