Messiah is not much more expensive than AR2 now and is swap free. oherwise you have to buy new boot disk.

you could buy a back issue of psi-2 and get the one with the free dvd Region X on the front, that's what I use to boot

On the subject of boot discs...

I have used three different versions of the GS2, but I also tried out the MegaMemory16.... it DOES work, but the damn disc is one of those mini-CDs, and you can't use it when your PS2 is vertical. To my knowledge, Interact never corrected this "oopsy" and since my PS2 refuses to load most of the time when horizontal, I really can't use it.

your PS2 problem reminds me of my old PSX :P

But on the subject of boot discs, i don't believe you can download and burn boot discs. Don't be cheap, get the Messiah/Magic (depending on your sys.)

Yes... I failed to restate that simple fact. There is no downloadable, burnable boot disc for the PS2, X-Box or GameCube.

Only the Dreamcast features the ability to play burned discs without any problem, without a mod chip.

Best bet, if possible, is to get a Magic2/Mssiah. Unfortunately for us USv3 owners, the wait continues.
