  1. #1 Question BlueChip + V5
    Seb.fr.26 Guest
    Hi !

    I have a really big probleme :

One each V5 I modify, if I put a "green" or "blue" modchip, this don't work, all ps2 games don't boot, just black screen ... include originals games ...

But in explorer, ps2 games on CDR and DVDR are corectly displayed as ps2 games, but if i try to launch them : black screen !

So, if i swap the "green" or "blue" bluechip with a black bluechip, it's working great ! ... without redo all solders on mother board, just the chip ones ...

And better : the green modchip perfectly work on V4 or V7 !!!

Does anybody has an idea ???

    I don't have more black bluechip ...

Do you know this trouble ?

What kind of things could I try ? ... alternativ solder point ?

Please help me before I go crazy ... please !!!

See, this is what he means,
On every Version 5 ps2 he modifies, the blue coloured and green coloured bluechips don't work, they just give a black screen everytime he inserts a ps2 game, though when he starts the ps2 with no disc and goes into browser, and then inserts a disc, he gets the disc logo, but open selection, he gets yet another blackscreen-- this happens with all of his copies AND originals. He could only get the bluechip working if it were a black-coloured one, and weirdly enough, on a V4 and V7, the green-coloured bluechip works perfectly!
He doesn't have anymore black-coloured bluechips, and wants to know if anyone has any advice and/or alternate points!
He wants psychological help before he goes crazy. (Ok, I sort of twisted what he said, a bit! )
Is it really THAT hard to understand, spedmetal?

    ShadowKnyght Whahaha very funny !
So like I know BlueChip have 3 versions :
    1) BlueChipMulti = v0-v7
    2) BlueChipDVDR = v0->v4 , v7->v8 ( v5-v6 = NOT WORKS! )
    3) BlueChipV9 = v9 Only. ( just out , not tested )

so , bluechip have to be "BLUE" all other colors fake !
about your problem , possible your chips are BlueChipDVDR and they not working in v5 ! but I know for shure BlueChip "BLACK" is Multi version , this mean he working in v5 . ( btw this black chip is total crap , bad clone , Original work alot better ).
anyway when you use Original BlueChip it works like Messiah2 , always boot games and Last BlueChip versions not have PS2 Logo ( Fast boot ) [ not show "PlayStation 2" when he boot the game , and game starts faster ] .

    good luck !

Actually - I think the V9 blue chip is black... blue X-5 is what it is called.

But I have yet to get mine in so I can not comment just yet.

And I think a lot of the clones of the Blue chips for the earlier models where green.

the Smartchip seems to be copying the colours of the original blue chip though - as far as I can tell... but I am new to the blue chips so don't take my word for it.

ShadowKnyght , dude Black version is Fake, like I say BlueChip is BLUE! ( I am talking about v9 version too ).
BlueChip code is very good , and we can see alot CLONEs , like Black or Green versions.
If you want to buy Real Original BlueChipV9 I will show you where and how it looks , I will make post tomorrow , include JPG BlueChipV9.

please do as the chips promised to me are definitely black - and they were supposed to be bluechips so I just assumed the new v9 version blue X-5 were just black to highlight the compatibility...

not happy! but on the flip side - even though I don't agree with the practice - as long as my chips have the bluechip code in them I and my customers will be happy - if not feeling just a little ripped off.
