I just got a batch, and have tried to install them in both V7's and V9's. What am I missing? Both installs went great, but neither chip is being detected by the console (copies do not work, and Infinity logo not added to the Playstation splash screen).

    Preciate any thoughts.

Can i ask a quick question.

I have two MI blue dot chips.
One for my V10 a modder is gonna do for me.
    And a semi working V7.
I'd like to try and mod my V7. And i was just wondering. What are the odds of my modchip burning or blowing something like a fuse or something during the process.

yeah, put in cd, and hold powerbutton 3 sec.

BTW, you didn't accidentally flashed it with the homebrew firmware?

Nope, haven't flashed them... especially if that's the process. Never even heard of that before.

I'll give it a go... see what happens.

just putting in the CD should also work. But if not, the reset is the way to go.

Also, if you burn the matrix v1.36 manager Cd and install it onto a mem card, you can install the real Firmware from a mem card on a blue dot by holding down triangle at startup.

If you didn't flash yet, if you hold the start button when you boot them up does it disable the chip?

The chip has no power, period. So pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds does nothing.

I'm totally baffled. Incidentally, I yanked the Infinity from the V7, and replaced it with a Duo2Se. Only the different wires (POWER, Z, no W) changed. Sure enough... success. Dayum!
