    Hi i have this prob in a v3(pal)
    If press reset to start the ps2 the reset led blinking green and i cant turn off the machine.(no audio/video)
    The only way to turn off is the back switch.
    The fan works great.
    All fuses is OK.
    I have see in the forum this again but i cant find the info.

    for sure the smallest connector on the mainbord is not connected well or the ribbon 2 this connector is damaged

    it results exactly in the symptoms you have
    and you can also reprodruce this by a working system by losing this connector and turn the system on

    good luck with further troubleshooting

    Thanks all.
    I found the problem.
    The small board back of mainboard (the small with the bathery) indicated as GD-013 is faulty.
    I replace this with another one and the PS2 works great.
    All fuses in bad board is OK.
    Crystall at 4.00 is ok.
    Any idea ??
