Hey guys here is my problem I have a V5 wich i'm still tring to get chipped using a Magic V(not 50k)
When I turn on the ps2 I get a black screen the only way to turn on my ps2 is to press eject down till the logo comes in but that means that the Mv is in OFF mode.
I'm using a very short wire (less than1/2inch long) for the r point so it shouldnt be the problem right?? anyway when i desolder that wire i get to boot my psx backups so for now that's what i am doing but please i need some help here i didnt pay U$s 380 (that's what it cost in Uruguay) for this machine just to play PSone games...
I am using the wires that i got from and old Ultra ATA flat cable (it is 30awg)

    Could this be the problem!?
Have anynone used this sort of wire and gotten a working installation???

How many awg are the wires that you're using for the GND and 3.3v points?
