Black screen on V5,6
I recently installed a M2 on a V5 PS2, when i first powered it up it had no picture, just disk activity.
Upon re-opening i found there was a "flat spot" on the solder applied to the "B" connection point.
The solder was only barely 1mm off the surface of the board so i resoldered it as flat as i could and BAM everything up and running smoothly!!!
I am just writing this one for future reference to people having any problems after they mod their ps2.
I am surprised of the minimal clearance constraint on the board to the heat shield at that point, so good luck and keep an eye on that point newcomers.
Also i am using Low Melting Point Solder "LMP" so it could be worth your while getting some as there is less likely hood of board damage.
