black screen on boot up, flickers on reset ??

fitted a dms3+ on a v7 and just get the good ol black screen

when i put a game in and hit reset the game spins up and the screen flickers as if its going to boot then reverts back to the black screen

looked at all my points and the all look good, any ideas guys??
