Yep... what Tony said.
Hand it back and ask them to test it while you wait. If they can't get a ps2 copy to work, then they're on the hook. Plain and simple.

If they can't get it to work and broke your PS2, I'm sure they have to pay for it. But if it still works and you can get your money back. Send it to a professional PS2 installer. I don't like shops, those guys might not know anything about modchips.
thnx for your answers. I will contact this shop. Can't it be that my laser is going to become dead ?
That is a possibility. But I don't think that is the problem in your case.Originally Posted by CyRo
Cause you have to disable the modchip to get your originals to work. I would have the shop check the soldering. They probably solder something wrong somewhere or bridged an ic leg.
it's a little problem because i send my ps2 to them, --> the shop is far far away :-/ so i don't have got a warranty that i get my ps2 back :-/
Wait, is this shop a place delicated to installing modchips?Originally Posted by CyRo
Can you open the PS2 and check the soldering and wiring yourself? Make sure every wire is suppose to go to the point they belong.
yes i can open it ( i installed a neo 2.2, 2 years ago). i try to find the fault :-/
Answer the question about the shop please.
the shop is a modchip shop .... if u mean that ...
PS: My English isn't pretty good ...
And if you paid them to install it and it doesnt work I'm sure there's warranty.Originally Posted by CyRo
