That's fine. Use a large wire for power and ground, or double up on the 30awg.

Im short 4 wires on my DMS3 install on my v7. Do you think its safe for me to use some of the wires from a spool of CAT5 i have (24gauge)? They would be going to the bios.

advice would be greatly appreciated (im right in the middle of the install)

the job is a little tougher with the bigger wire.. but not impossible..

Go for it .. I have done a complete install using ide cable wire .. the 40 wire stuff .. not the 80 .. worked fine
