best modchip for ps2 90004 –
i opened a thread here but i think it's the wrong section : "PS2 Homebrew/Dev & Emu Scene" in the name of "about modding ps2"
when i came to compare between mods, in my local shops, using some model of M7, but some people from the web are saying that M7 is a clone from another chip, and if i wanna use mode it'd better be either of those:
DMS, Crystal Chip, Matrix Infinity Orange/Green Dot
and some other told me to use:
after a little looking, i found this comparison:
will that makes M7 much better than the rest above even tho it's a clone from them? or this result is not correct ?
FYI, i dont wanna use FMCB nor HDD, just advise me bout mods or i'll have to skip it and costing myself in buying swap magic+tools
the modbo 4.0 is the way to go i reckon. its a clone of the matrix infinity but a fully functioning clone. back when ps2 was popular i was using them for later model ps2s as they arent compatible with early models. you must have abit of soldering skill to be able to install a mod in that model tho, as there are no via's for the dvd/cd patch lines and must solder directly to ic legs.
heres one ive installed n took a pic of back in the day (tho i removed the hot glue from top of ic as shielding didnt go back on with it there and was only there to keep the wires from moving. not for installing)
and diagram pack for all compatible ps2 models of the modbo 4.0
