They both pratically the same. The infinity just had its recent firmware updates. The crystal has a built in mc manager which controls the chip. Infinity also has dvd dual layer (dvd9) but crystal should get it in the next update. Another difference is that you need a hacked firmware for the crystal chip for backups which a fully made firmware wont be found here. You can get it on google though. You cant go wrong with either one though.

It would be better if you get a pro to install it since ps2 can be a bit difficult. If you do wanna do it yourself, try practicing on old pc parts. The ab and i wires are easy to do. Use 22 awg wires for 3.3v/gnd and 30 for the rest of the points

well modchipman.com is good. You can also go to www.xmodds.com/. They too are good as well if you want it. There are infinity clones but these 2 sites do sell the real thing. I hope this helps.

Edit: Another website would be www.foundmy.com/. Its mostly for canadian orders but they do us orders. Also the clones are cheaper but they can easily be messed up if you change the settings and they cant use the latest firmware. I want to also let you know to avoid them.

Never support divineo. Stay away from them. Couldn't order properly on their credit card form. Buy from modchipman or foundmy.
