Well a matrix infinity is a good choice. I also think the crystal chip is good too. They are excellent choices. I hope this helps.

You're joking right ? No, no I won't list the threads where people discussed about this subject, but I am sure there are MORE than 10 of these. Seems you should do your homework more carefully next time...

Back to the subject: it all depends on your needs and money.

Infinity, Crystal, O2, DMS, Ripper chips offer quite a lot, but they usually cost more.
Duo2, MXL4, Subzero and others cost less, but miss some (extra) features.

The cheapest *but not the easiest* solution is the "free" iCE code... I suggest you to avoid from clones and from unknown chips they cost more in the end than it seems for the first time.

    regards, Stephen

Get the Crystal Chip. It'll suite you more than you need. You need to solder but if you can't send it to a professional. Do not buy the ezi, you might end up messing up the tiny pins with that huge clip like many others here.

If its just back-ups you want to play then go with the Duo2SE, it is VERY easy to install and is cheap as hell!

But where ever you buy it make sure you tell them you want the SE version as there are basically very little to no original Duo2 chips about, they are mostly clones now, so tell them you want a Duo2SE.

They all will but the high end ones can let you boot the software on the mc without the exploit. The infinity one can also load files on the hdd. You can install an hdd with no modchip actually but I hope this helps.

BTW, the more high end chips can automatically boot stuff without needing any button combos.
