Hi, can anyone put me back in the picture there is a new version of that lovely slimeline ps2 v13?

i was using the comsoft auto shutdown previously blowing my own 12c508 with a couple of resitors ect is this console still crap if you have what i think was the wide laser & is the v13 any better and different to install. Also noticed you can blow eeprom with different laser code is this any good? even better if this works with the sanyo v5 & v7 but don't think that's covered

any help appreciated thanks

v13 is the latest.. no fix needed.

I've had 2 V13's die.

They may have a fix implemented but the lasers are shite.

m4tty1 2 fail out of how many though & is it 1 type of laser or both, looks like this crappy slim ain't improved that much

I've done abbout 30 v13's and not one problem yet with the laser.. just use summ0nes on the v13 and you should never have a problem..

I think this would be a bad idea...as the people that make the chips say 'the v13 needs no fix'

is the laser coil burnt or the diode is dead? can you please comfirm? you are the first one i have come across reporting lasers in v13 dead.

Wide laser coils fried.

Probably done 30 or so V13's with 2 failures.

Ohms set to 1200.

m4ttyy1 do you use any fix on v13 (if so which) & do you alter laser to 1200 or is that what you find to be an average?
