Bad Messiah 2 install? PLEASE help
Bad Messiah 2 install? PLEASE help –
I just had my v4 NTSC console modded with a v1.22a Messiah 2 and a Macro disabler. At first, everything seemed to be working great. However, I've noticed that when I try to save in certain games (both originals and backups, DVD and CD), it quits to the browser. Is this due to a botched install, or am I missing something? Please help; I just blew a lot of cash getting this done!
is the time/date set to the right time ?? ..
Nope, the time and date are stuck at 01/01/2000 and 12:00am, and I can't change them, not even by turning off the chip.
What does that mean? What do we do about it?
i think it's the battery on the motherboard, but hey, what do i know?
Yeah, I thought maybe the battery plug might be disconnected, but would that make it so that I can't even TRY to set the date (like, even if I try to change it, it will not change from 01/01/2000)?
And does it account for why GTA III (original), Frequency and Crazy Taxi (both backups) won't save?
p.s. don't worry, fooniman, I bet you know LOTS!
I don't know if this is relevant or helps any of you smart technical guys diagnose the problem, but I've also noticed that most of the time the save goes through before it quits to the browser. Like, if I save in GTA III, it quits to the browser, but then if I boot the game again I can start from where I saved. Weird.
by the way...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!
I would have your installer recheck the bios wires. Most likely something's crossed, or popped off.
Okay, I just spoke to the guy who installed it for me, and he said he'd take a look at it, and do the repair for free IF it's something he did wrong (i.e. battery plug not connected). However, he sounded really skeptical that he'd done anything wrong. I'm a little concerned that he'll tell me it wasn't his mistake and charge me for a repair, shipping, etc.
Someone's GOT to know what could be causing this. charlie_ps2, where are you?? I'm at the end of my rope, here.
did you try starting the time first?
did you try starting the time first? –
I've run across the same problem with not being able to se tthe date. All you have to do it get it started. It won't let you move anything at first, but just hit the 'X' button (I think) and it will start the time running, then select the time settings again and you should be able to adjust the date. Let me know if it works.
Worked like a charm! –
Tried what you told me, and it worked! The time is set correctly, and now everything is saving the way it's supposed to. You've saved me some cash and some time (not to mention saving my installer a headache). Thanks!
