Backup PS1 games not loading?
Backup PS1 games not loading? –
I have a v7 with a matrix infinity. Most backup PS2 games I have work very well.... CD and DVD games (with the exception of Pool Shark, which won't load).
I just tried some PS1 game backups, but they won't load (so far). Is it a problem with my install?
Check the S/SX/SCEX point, that's usually the culprit with non-working PS1 backups.
S/SX/SCEX point what dose this point actually do i have the same problem some ps1 backups don't work if it is this point would it be a bad solder point or somethin
some PS1 backups or all? If it's just some then try burning at a different speed on different media, if all then check teh points that Toma suggested.
I'm pretty sure its not the media. I'm using Memorex 52x discs that work fine in a friend's V7 MI PS2 (which I also modded). It just so happens that mine was the first console I ever did, and i never checked to se if ps1 backups worked.
I do have one PS2 backup that also wont' load for me (Pool Shark), so perhaps fixing this point will solve my problems. I HATE opening up my ps2, though....
some little annoying thing always goes wrong and i end up having to open it up a 2nd time
Its most likely the speed your burning. because I had this really weird problem with diffrent chips. I had a Messia 2 HK somthing Clone chip in a V7 I could burn my CDR's as fast as 24x and they would boot PS1 ps2 what ever. then I took that chip out and used a Magic 3.1 and none of my CDRs where working. I reburned all my games at 12x they all worked perfect. if I went above 12x it never worked. so then I moded my friends PS2 with a Magic 5V. now I tryed my old games burned at 24x they all worked and booted just fine. but all my dvdr's I burned at 4x were skipy on the video so I burned thoes at 2x and that fixed that problem I really think that depending on your chip and what mods you have done to your PS2 burn speeds do have a factor. I would try reburning 1 game at 4x and try that then if 4x works try 8x and so on.
