today marks the death of my first PS2, a 30002 M2.
no more DVD reads, so i'm going to get a new one. maybe this time around i'll be able to boot my thai copy of MGS2:Substance...

however. i know nothing about what's available.
is the 50004 available at shops? in Brisbane?

does the 50004 do all the things 50000 and 50001 do?
eg. DVD+R, IR remote etc.

is the M2 1.31 available here? and installers? i have no skills on this one.
(to play on 50004) i understand the issue of dvdr playback, actually this has been my only experience of M2 so far.

thanks. any info is much appreciated, as these are some tough times for me.

I should be getting some M2 1.31 as soon as I am confident they have sorted out all of the bugs I am seeing being reported at the moment.

So pretty much at this stage you will have a choice between M2 1.31 / 1.32 or DMS3 V9 only chips...

I can install for you, But I am down in Adelaide - so you will be looking at $7 to $15 postage each way depending on how you choose to send it.

As far as I am aware the Oz version is practically the same as the other versions...

I can vouch for SK, he's a great guy to deal with He even ran around all over Adelaide trying to find a V7 or lower for me! So I'd say it's worth the freight.
