I have a JP PS2 SCPH500001 that I'm looking to mod with the matrix infinity. DVD driver says 3.02 so I'm assuming it is a v10, which is good to go for MI. Been browsing the board for a while and I've got some questions.

    Where should I order from?

OR somewhere else? I heard there are some fake MI..

I looked at the thread with people posting pics of their installs and some of them have wires all neat and ordered, while some are just all over the place. To get it neat an ordered do you use super glue? Tape?

For the soldering iron I'm just going to go to radio shack for a cheap one or possibly fry's since they have a bigger selection of everything. Just need one with a pretty thin tip and 15w at least?

Is there any other external equipment I need?

    Thanks to those that reply.

Those sites are overpriced. Goto the vendor section and look up some vendors for cheaper prices.

In order to acheive neat installs just cut wires to appropriate lengths.

Goto Fry's. They have some Weller pencil soldering iron. You also need some flux which really help.

I bought an MI and DMS4 from mod-chip.com and they had excellent shipping from Europe to USA. Got my stuff in 3 days via UPS.

Yeah, probably. I didn't feel like shopping around. Still a good site and I would buy from them again.
