atoms not spinning, everything else is fine

after installing a modbo 760 in a v10 I tested it like normal, only to find that the atoms aren't spinning on the main page. They are all clumped together in a ball. But the ps2 does everything fine, loads games, backups, movies. But the atoms don't spin. When a disc is loaded, the screen fades and you can see one atom shot off to the side, but the rest stay in a ball. Any ideas? Should I be worried?

Edit: correction, it does not read cds now. Any clue what that might be?

Just set the time and the atoms will spin again.

what about it's inability to read cds? It loads dvds very fast, so one would think it isn't the laser.
