Have Premodded Silver PS2 with matrix infinity , flashed with v1.2 , had it for about 4 months...

Today thought it was about time to update it and to get around to installing infinity manager on mem card. INFINITY MANAGER with Firmware Upgrade V1.36 ...

My Mem card still had a few things on it , but i upgraded to 1.36 ok.

Booted up a few games and saved some games to a diff card , deleted the other mem card ready...

Went out for 20 mins came back...

switch on PS2 and no games boot. Update disk doesnt boot. nada zip. nothing.

what the f*ck did it do to my beloved ps2.

No it wont, i think its laser too, even if chip is disabled nada.

this had made my day poopy.

Why would this of happened, could it of been the upgrade to 1.35 affecting it , or something blown, or just laser die after 6 months.

    Its possible its the chip

but it could just be a co-incidence tbh, i mean if you aint opened it i dont see why the chip would stop your whole ps2

and when its disabled it should not be interfearing

So its possible its just a co-incidence

(but i dunno i aint no expert)
Is the disc spinning, do you get an error, is there anything else you can tell us

Does the bootup screen load, can u get browser (etc)

Erm i think i hear the laser trying sometimes... it boots up to the swirling colours, i can select browser and upon spinning the disc for a bit it comes up with Disc Read Error, no rsod though or anything.

No DVDs or Audio CDs , chip actually looks like its behaving normally, I NEVER opened it up it was bought 6 months ago premodded by diveneo.
