AR/CB/GS & mod chips –

This might sound similar to another thread, but please hear me out. I would like to know if ActionReplay/CodeBreaker/GameShark (both original & backup) boot WITH codes backup games with a no-swap mod chip.
I want to play backups with AR/CB/GS codes on a no-swap modded PS2. I found out that CB 7+ does not work with backups, the GS forums are not allowed to discuss backups, and AR forums require a 'paid' email address to register. Thanks.

Works fine to me with Messiah2 PRO (GS2 v3 and CB7).
With DMS3 I only tested with dms3 v9 on v10 ps2. Works too, GS & CB.

I was wondering if CB version 4 will work with a modded v4 apple pro ps2. I want to use codes with backups will it work or will I have to copy the cb and use the backup?
