Apple + Sony Network Config Disc?

I can't boot the original (red screen) and made a DVDR copy and its red screens. How do I work around this to load network settings?

I hread this was a known problem with this chip.

I told my friend to use SOCOM, but when entering teh network setup area it then goes to red screen also..

Anyone have some ideas? He doesn't have a GS if there is a solution with that.

You should do a search of this topic as it has been answered before, boot the disk in psone mode and it should work. It did for me

Note that to use the DVD on PS1 mode it MUST be the original.

The network problem is an Apple chip flaw.
