Apple Pro Bad Functioning????

I have some problems with apple pro in many ps2 models.
Sometimes they don´t boot splinter cell. Let´s say they load the game and everything is ok after intro but when you´re up to start playing the f***ing red screen appears..
The same happens with a couple of games lake L.A Streets.
But it´s weird because in some consoles they work good. (most of the cases they don´t)[B]
The media is ok, because they work good with mars 2 or some other chips..
Have any idea of what can be happening ??

Boot method may be the culprit.

V7 protected games on V7 stations require this boot method:

1) Turn on station or from standby mode - red light only
2) hit eject
3) insert game
4) hit eject
5) allow game to load from browser

will work fine 100% of the time!

Never had any problems with the Apple Pro.

on sold a lot and never had anyone return duds.

I tried to boot like that, same sympthom buddy..
It´s weird because with same games in other consoles with apple pro they work good..

your laser may be week or worn then - or just in need of a clean or adjustment.

Brand new consoles man...all of them..

apple pro will not boot splinter cell .. well it boots it .. only to kick you out of the game and give you RSOD ..

Actually Splinter Cell works fine with the Apple Pro, you have to use the correct boot method though, as ShadowKnyght has posted.

Oh and being a new station does not discount the laser being weak - but just makes it doubtful.

I have seen one station that booted 100% of the games that I tested it with but only 30% of a customers games due to his laser not liking his media - a small tweak and it worked 100%
