Chip has nothing to do with playing dvd movies.

All PS2's will play dvd. Movies are not protected (Well not it a way that requires a mod chip, but we won't get into that discussion here)

In the world of poor modchips, prolly the mini3. But out of curiosity, why are you so focused on crap chips?

haha. i have 2 potential sellers trying to sell me their wares.
problem is one is scph 39006 - magic3
and the other scph 50006 - unknown.

i was thinking which is better, as i heard that one of them acutally has better lens than the other. Then again, if I replace the old lens with the new one, wouldn't it all be the same?
