apple's site says it has improved code and Mini Apple Pro and Apple 2 Pro are for all versions so i dont know what that guy is smoking.

I think you guys got a bit confused.
From what I gathered from the apple web site.
apple pro - suppose to be the latest with improve coding.
slightly older version.
apple 2 pro - v1-v7/v8 support
mini apple pro - v4-v7/v8 support
So basically telescopee0 is right if it is talking about just between apple 2 pro and mini apple pro.
Whilst mafia matt is right if you are referring to all 3 chips.

Yep, I have never run into a game that freezes with an Apple.
