Hi. I have a ps2 model number SCPH-30001R. It has a total of 8 screws in the bottom, and I was wondering a couple of things.
How could I determine if the board is a V4 Bios 040 no gap, or a V5?
I was assuming it was a V5 because the bottom of the mother board has a location for points 1-8 to solder to.
I have done this, and when I try to start up the system, I just get the standby light on, and the cd tray only ejects a bit.
Am I wireing the mod chip to the system wrong, or will this mod chip even work with this system?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

It's either a version 5 or 6 not a v4. It says here that the Apple 2 Pro like this is compatible with v1-7 so it should work, check you install.
