I will admit that you need to have at least a little bit of computer knowledge in order to enjoy your DVD burner's capabilities, these things are no where near as simple as CD burners where you just get a CD and copy it. So I thought I would save new buyers from all the research and trouble by telling them what they need to do what most of us want to do.

If you want to backup DVD ps2 games I would highly recommend getting Prassi DVD or RecordNow and read Charlie's Prassi tutorial.

Most of the new DVD movies that are coming out have a protection called CSS that will stop programs like Nero from burning a working copy of the movie and will stop RecordNow or Prassi from even attempting to read the disk, so here is what you need to get around this. Go to www.doom9.org and download a program called DVD Decryptor they have tutorials there on how to use it. However if you have your own files that you would like to make into a DVD use Nero.
