anyone used the xo-18 chip?..
btw ....for 18 000 NTSC/J , how u check the version for the motherboard???
I have a 18000 NTSC/J, its mobo ver is GH-008
however, the board doesn't look like anything I've seen
and the upper side is permanently attached to the
cooling plate.
oic oic ....
but did u modify ur set to direct boot?
MENTHOLa Do you know the magic 2 also work for your system too.
I don't know if MENTHOLa's 18000j board is the same,
the one I have is rather hard for current magic2 diagrams.
I'll post a scan of it.
The underside has only one of what it seems to be the bios
chip, I can't find the reset or 3.3v points. The upper side has the
permanent cooling metal plate, which may have to be forcefully
taken off.
The cooling plate is not permanent, yeah just force it off I was having a hard time with that too when I was taken my PS2 apart.
Thanks Sniper, I'll try to do that and see what I can find.
Well, currently in my side SINGAPORE they yet to try it out. i juz get to know thta they juz receive the MAgic 2 chip n they now doing a trial on it . i think i will get the reult soon.
btw how to check if mi motherboard is the wat version?
I have a SCPH 18000, and also a Magic 2 V3 chip, but cannot find an installation diagram. Does anyone have one, or can anyone install for me? I am in Singapore. Thanks.
