Are these clones cheaper than your typical Magic 3.1? I mean, you can get a Magic 3.1 for $20-$30 and it's a known chip, has several reviews, and appears to be working fine.
Unless these clones are free, I wouldn't think of getting one. First off, you don't know IF they work, how well they work, or if they're compatabil with your version PS2.
Even if they're $5-$10 cheaper than a Magic chip, save your self the trouble. If you save $5 on homebrew clone, then find out it doesn't work, you're going to have to buy another chip & pay for another install....
