I have a Chinese version SCPH-50009 to mod today. Someone bought from china. The m/board is GH-023. BIOS chip mounted a bit differently as to those v9's I have seen. I guessed it's a V9 and tried dou2 but no luck.Any idea? I wonder if 50009 is ever supported by any chip.

That sounds like a version 10 ps2 the Magic 5k6 is built for the version 10's.

No, v10 is GH-026 board and bios chip is horizontal. Dou2 supports v10 also.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's gh-23 board. I think this 50009 is a special version released in china. The bios chip mounted differently from those V9 or V10 I have ever seen. Could this be a V11?

I did not take pic of that m/board.Don't think any mod supported this version PS2. I have searched google no result found about supported modchip.

My customer took it back yesterday and I only have his contact number. Any way as I know the 50009 was released in china around Dec. last year. This PS2 has a lable at back with chinese written on it. The language in browser screen is also in Chinese. I will try to contact this guy to see if I can have the m/board pic taken.
