    Please take a look at the attached picture and tell me if this is a suitable alternative 3.3V on a v9 NTSC console (DMS3)

    Yes it is. Elecronicly this is the same point.
    I prefer to solder the + wire to the fuse.

    The fuse is PS14 right? Or are you refering to the little one as the fuse? Is it comman to use PS14 for a 3.3V alternative?

    It is comman to use PS14 for a 3.3V alternative and yes i mean the fuse leg.

    Hmm - I use the resistor side like the DMS shows - but never realised anyone else used that point - I thought most used the round pad near the edge of the main CPU...

    But yes that point on the edge of the bigger black part (the fuse) is ok to also use - plus you could use the edge of the green flat part that is not visible in that pick but is just slightly above and to the left of the fuse.
