Another Fake Chip??? Matrix 2.0 (M2) ?

Ok, i got a ps2 to fix that has this so called Matrix 2.0 M2 (not MX2). There was a wire pinched between the metal and the mother board but i think this chip is a fake, since i cant find any info on this chip at all. :cry:

The install looks like crap too lol, but I saw that there was a white sticker over the main chip on the mod chip and i took it off, the brand is XILNX Or X1LNX. Of what i can tell its a fake from that chip info i found. Now can any one confirm this, and does any one have a installtion diagram, because this install was a mess and i dont want to take down the wrong notes.:wow:

I would be very happy if any one knows any thing about this.

Also it has 23 wires coming off from it. And also the guy said that it worked then all of a sudden it stoped reading every thing (but the wire was pinched so i think thats the prob).

Magic 2 Is what it's called

why does it say matix on it then? Made by the same people?

I looked at a few Magic 2 installtion guides and the chip looks like them, besides the white sticker was different and that it says matrix on it, and that its black and not red.

It is magic 2 clone. They are the same , but magic 2 came out few months earlier.

Ok, thanks a lot, now that i confirmed that it is indead a clone, now i think this one is blown, one of the wires to the bios chip was pinched and shorted out between the mother board and the metal, the laser is very dim, but in another ps2 its bright and works. Also some one changed the cap to a resister (bad soldering too).

To tell the truth, i hope the clone is blown, so i can put a real chip in it, and i dont have to give up a mother board to fix it.
