Thoes are bios pin points. Your only other option is to solder them onto the legs of the actual chip. The points shown in your diagram are actually the alt point already for mnop etc. For a beginner they are probably easyer.
If this is your first install, be sure to practice and take your time... old motherboards work great to practice on. Be sure to have soldering braid with you, and dont leave your soldering iron on anything for more than a couple seconds. It will lift tracks, lift pins or burn and bury via's (The little round things on the board)
If you are super nervous get an installer to do it, or you could also try a "electronics repair shop". The smaller buisinesses are usually the best. Installers can be found through a buy sell and trade sometimes, or even on these boards (try the buy sell and trade section)
***EDIT***
Well, after posting i re-read your post... looks like i completly misunderstood. They should be in the same order as on the top of the board. To check use a multimeter on the ohm meter (resistance) and when you find two points that should be the same, it should read 0.00
Cheers :)
Loto
heh,
it isn't my first insatll!i have done about 30 consoles.but i think it is easier to install on the alternative points rather than on the chip.so i wondered if someone has clear photos.one friend sent me a photo and i saw that it is much easier.thanks for your reply.
You may have caused some confusion posting a v9 picture and asking a v5/v6 question. Which is it?
he wants the corresponding points for the bios on the back of the ps2 mobo
here
thank you loy!that is exactly what i want!thank all of you for your help.
