    anyone got alt points for y and sx? thanks. Also, does anyone know what y is?

    The only alternate point for Y is the pin of the large IC that the Y point pad goes to. The Y point is used as a clock signal.
    The SX can be soldered directly to the first pin of the same IC that's closest to the usual SX point.
    There are no other alternate points other than above unfortunately.

    Yeah I asked the Matrix Team and they replied with the same thing. Unfortunately I can't even desolder that daugther board because I have a 15w iron. Y wire is used for updating via cd, but I can upgrade via memory card if I can't do it via cd. sx is just for psx so I don't really think my friend needs it.
