Anyone have a picture of an alt 3.3v for V7 USA. Posts in here make reference to Charlies' guide as a sticky but there is no guide that I see .

this pic is not a v7 but the alt 3.3v is in the same place on a v7 and will work .
or more clearly here:
here
a= power
I also use those points for Messiah2 etc - just did not have a picture handy
although you could check some of the install thread's pictures - I have used multiple variations on the installation points.
Thanks guys. The 3.3 might not even be the problem but gonna try anyhow. Weird issue with either the fan or the dvd drive doing 1-2 second bursts of which sounds like an rpm increase or power surge. I know I had trouble with the via on this machine. Dumb considering I don;t struggle at all with the V9's. Anyhow. The person who wants this machine only cares about LOTR game and this is where the machine has issues. I know the copy is fine cause it works on all the other machines on my bench. As well, other DVDR games work no problem. It loaded once then froze during the first cut scenes. Hoping that the bad via connection is causing these bursts. I have never heard a machine make this noise before.
Here is the alternate point that shadowknight showed meOriginally posted by VrtclHykr

Hey guys. Thought I would update in anyone is interested. I changed the 3.3 to the pad suggested by gameplay. The odd rpm noise is gone and LOTR boots now. Frickin strange. Maybe the via got damged.Weird issue with either the fan or the dvd drive doing 1-2 second bursts of which sounds like an rpm increase or power surge. Why the hell would I ever use that 3.3 via again with that honkin big pad 1" away.
Thanks Al
